Angel’s Awakening Game Review

Today we have an unexpected find for review – the game Angel’s Awakening. The game was released on Steam in 2022 and did not gain much popularity, even though the developer studio already had a good background in creating H-games. By the way, here are links to reviews of the studio’s previous games – WANDERLUST and Lilly Knight and the Three Cities of Lust . Both games were not very fappable, but the games themselves looked pretty good.

So, were the developers able to take into account the past mistakes and turn Angel’s Awakening into a real H-game? Let’s see =)

About the Plot

The main character, named “Angel,” is a decent girl who has lived her entire life with an overly depraved friend.

Unlike “Angella”, her friend was constantly going to brothels and abusing her body in every possible way. Angela was certainly jealous of her, but at the same time, she tried not to cross the line.

The trouble is that her friend has disappeared – Angela is forced to turn to a private detective for help in finding her, and he is quite willing to help, but he did not take into account that Angela is still a slut and a slut at heart, who only wants her psychological barriers to be broken.

About gameplay

What we have before us is not a classic visual novel on Ren’py or RPG maker, Angel’s Awakening is written on the crappy Unity engine. However, the developers took into account the experience of their previous projects and this time they really tried!

In essence, the entire gameplay consists of listening to beautifully voiced dialogues and watching “scenes”. So that we don’t get bored, during the dialogues the game switches to a free camera so that we can see what’s under someone’s skirt, or just look at the models. To fully immerse yourself in the game world, you’ll have to learn English, at least to a basic level. Unfortunately, there are no subtitles in the game – so the entire plot will have to be learned solely by ear.

Angel’s Awakening is a completely linear game, in which we essentially perform previously prepared actions. Sometimes we are given the opportunity to control the heroes, purely for the sake of going somewhere or visiting a location, but in general, we simply watch an interesting story in which events of varying degrees of vulgarity unfold. If desired, all the dialogues and the story can be skipped and simply scroll through the scenes.

Jerkability

Honestly, Angel’s Awakening is close to Whorecraft in terms of Jerkability for me. The studio has made many attempts to make their games at least a little bit closer to the “ideal”, and in the end, they seem to have done it.

After a whole bunch of H-games, in which all the content is presented either by changing pictures or crookedly cut looped CG videos, Angel’s Awakening is really… inspiring. Beautiful characters, animation, sighs and moans – all this is done at a very decent level. The free camera allows you to examine the entire scene in detail and choose your favorite angle, plus the game presents absolutely all normal options for cupcakes, from petting to DP and a cupcake rally with the participation of 5 cupcakes at once.

The only thing that spoils the feeling a little is the animation of the men – they, like in the studio’s previous games, are wooden dummies with empty eyes. And some visual bugs are also distracting at times.

In general, if you speak English fluently, you will enjoy the game and the Jerkability will reach 5 ❤❤❤❤❤, if not, most of the voiced dialogues will seem like an incomprehensible mess to you, which will probably kill the atmosphere and the Jerkability for you will drop to 4 ❤❤❤❤, but I give it 5. The game deserves it =)

Verdict

To be honest, the game surprised me. After the studio’s previous Unity-based creations, I expected nothing more than more “poking” Pinocchios from Angel’s Awakening, but instead I got a decent novella with good animations, a good story and great voice acting. They still haven’t abandoned Unity, but the studio has worked on the mistakes and now it’s a cool H-game with a good (albeit predictable) plot, beautiful characters and animations.

The impressions from the full passage are like watching a good porno movie. I recommend buying it! But before buying, keep in mind that you will have to play with headphones.
