An honest review of the Rise of Eros game

One day, while strolling through the new products of the erotic game industry, I came across the game Rise of Eros among a bunch of monotonous, bland Asian demonstrations of changing static images. What can I say…considering the fact that this game pulled me in for good months, it definitely deserves a review, so…let’s go).

Rise of Eros is a free-to-play client/mobile game from The Shadow Studio. It is currently the only released game from this studio

The game itself is essentially a mix of a donated dump like “Raid Shadow legends” and a good, not particularly popular, also free game “Marvel Strike Force”. If you have at least once launched the above mentioned games, you have probably already made parallels on gameplay moments and other pros and cons, however, Rise of Eros, unlike the mentioned games, has a significant difference in the form of focus on H-content. And it is here, I must say, Wow-oh-oh! Let’s go through it in order.

Gameplay in Rise of Eros

As in many other games of this genre, the gameplay is a kind of turn-based tactics. Initially, you are given two very cute girls – one is responsible for dealing damage, the other for defense (saport). The main task in the game is to collect new girls and gather an effective group for the story campaign. To be honest, I wasn’t interested in following the story itself – the game is not translated into Russian, and the story itself is presented in the form of simple dialogs in the style of visual novels.

An honest review of the Rise of Eros game

In the course of the story we make up a squad of 4 girls, each of them will have their own role in the group, their own equipment and skills. The girls, as it is supposed to be in conditionally free games, are knocked out of the lootboxes. This is nothing new – your progress in the game will essentially depend on the number of days/weeks/months you’ve spent in it.

Battles take place in turn-based mode. The order of moves depends on the speed parameters of heroines and their abilities. The battles themselves can be carried out both in manual and automatic mode, which is less efficient, but saves personal time. Fights consume local energy, which is slowly replenished over time. In fact, it is the energy that will be the main stumbling block to progress throughout Rise of Eros.

During battles you can turn on or off the cinematic camera to fully enjoy the design solutions of the developers and in detail view your heroines from all angles.

In between battles is also nothing new in the genre – we are engaged in pumping heroines, their equipment, as well as infuse them with local “pheromones” to open H-scenes.

In general, the gameplay in Rise of Eros is not something sweet and interesting, although there are some curious solutions. For example, unlike other mobile donation dumps, in Rise of Eros you can really feel the presence of tactics. By choosing the right squad you can defeat opponents several tens of levels higher – this hints at the presence of some gameplay in the form of management.

Jerkability

Rise of Eros is one of the few mobile/client games where you can really jerk off.

The H-scenes themselves in the game are unlocked in two ways.

  1. While going through the story campaign, in each chapter, there is always a storyline H-scene, made in the form of a quality video.
  2. Pumping up the “relationships” with open characters we are opened not only pre-rendered scenes, but also scenes with the ability to rotate the camera and view everything that is happening in all angles.

The quality of the H-scenes themselves, I would say, is top-notch. You can see that the developers from China know a lot about beauty. The angles have been worked out, a lot of attention has been paid to the heroines’ facial expressions during the scenes themselves. Evaluating local fapability is like watching videos with beautiful streamers, playing along with their eyes to the camera at every friction.

Unfortunately, I can’t show this action without censorship, because I’ll be banned, so I’ll choose more or less innocent shots. At least this way, check it out:

Personally, I really liked it 😀 I give Rise of Eros 4 ❤❤❤❤ Jerkability out of 5 for the quality of execution. Why not a 5? The thing is that despite the high quality picture, the game has no “variety” in the scenes. It’s either M+J, or JMJ, or JW, and a couple of scenes with tentacles. All this is of course due to the local plot, but I always miss MJM in such games.

About the donation

Fortunately, there is no aggressive donation in Rise of Eros. Even advertisements are not as frequent as in other donation dumps. You will indeed sometimes be offered to buy “special kits”, but they never contain anything unique, i.e. something you can’t get for free. However, the game is still “completely free”, and therefore….

…After about 3 days of moderately active play, the player reaches the so-called PayWall. Energy is not enough, the level of opponents is too high to effectively move through the story, and free lootboxes by that time has already run out. The phase of active farming of levels and resources begins, in order to advance a little further. This behavior for games of this genre is quite expected – at this point you should clench your teeth or bite your lip and just continue to enter the game a couple of times a day for the sake of draining energy.

However, no one here is stopping you from getting all the girls in the game without donating and unlocking all the H-scenes with them. There are no “unique” scenes only for people with bottomless wallets, as it happens in games from Hooligaps, for example.

Important! Purchases that you made in the Steam version of the game cannot be transferred to the mobile version and back. There is no synchronization, the mobile version requires a different account and is not connected to your Steam account in any way.

Verdict

What you liked:

  1. The game looks just fine;
  2. Juicy and good, fully animated H-scenes both in real time and pre-rendered;
  3. No premium content – all H-content can be obtained simply by periodically logging into the game for H amount of time;
  4. There are few activities in the game. Essentially just the campaign, challenge tower, PVP and eventing.

What didn’t like:

  1. Too slow energy recovery, and as a consequence – slow progress;
  2. A sharp jump in difficulty on the third day of the game;
  3. No ability to synchronize Steam-version of the game with mobile.

Rise of Eros is currently the best H-game for me in its vicious mobile nerd genre. Definitely recommend checking it out.

It is impossible to play it without a break, because of what it basically does not take much time during the day, so Rise of Eros can be a great excuse to pass the time at lunch or on the way home, and left with the game 1 on 1 you can also…well, you know 😀
