Amelie falls over and over again Game review

I recently discovered another cool game on the vastness of the internet – Amelie falls over and over again. The game was created on RPGMaker and includes such “adult” genres as NTR and Corruption – we love and respect such things and overall, the review would be pretty typical if not for the high quality of this game.

A little bit about the plot

As a result, we make a pact with the local demon of treason, which allows us to return to the past time after time in order to avoid disaster. We have to prevent our beloved from entering into an unholy relationship and prevent the secret personalities from performing the ritual of summoning. But the trouble is that each time everything goes wrong, and our beloved Amelia is once again sleeping with anyone but ourselves…

Gameplay of Amelie falls over and over again

In Amelie falls over and over again, we’re treated to some pretty classic RPGMaker gameplay.

The game day consists of two phases – day and night. The time does not run in real time – to switch between the times of day you will need to either go to a dungeon or trigger a story event. During the day we usually go to classes and watch the molestation of our favorite girl, and in the evening we go to the dungeon, fight monsters and investigate the mysteries of the mysterious university.

Battles in “Amelie falls over and over again” are classic, it is a turn-based JRPG with an initiative scale, i.e. whoever has the most initiative goes first. Each battle location usually has 1 strong story boss + 1 even stronger boss. Fights with ordinary opponents are quite simple (they can be plugged with simple attacks), with the boss level too as a rule to cope with no problem, but with the optional boss you need to be careful – here you need to impose debuffs and heal in time.

Defeat in battles does not carry any negative consequences – you will not be given any special scenes if you suddenly decide to surrender or accidentally lose.

Wankability

Contrary to the general similarities to Time Loop NTR, this game is completely linear and doesn’t require any special tactics or choices. Regardless of your diligence, you will unlock all the CG scenes sooner or later.

H-scenes themselves are static CG-arts, no dynamic scenes – only slightly changing scenes. It would seem – we pass by, but the quality of drawing and the general context of what is happening still plays into the hands of the developers – the game is more than Wankable.

From the minuses I can add only that H-scenes do not appear as often as I would like. For this reason the mood has time to “fall” before you again see any H-content. Anyway the execution itself is still at a good level. In CG-art all the girls are cute, drawn in the right angles, etc. The main story focus of the artwork is understandably NTR. Unlike other hentai games, 90% of the H-scenes here are with humans, not tentacles/goblins/other races. That’s commendable! But still, for me personally, it is not able to compete with “European” H-games that offer you not just artwork, but full scenes. I’m willing to give the game 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥ out of 5 ♥♥ purely for the quality of the drawings.

The game is still Asian, so it has all the trappings of typical hentai, girls peeing etc, plus the game has typical Asian mosaic censorship. This should be taken with understanding ©. Because of the quality of the drawings and the pretty girls, it doesn’t really affect the level of “mood”.

Verdict

“Amelie falls over and over again” was able to catch the mood of Time Loop NTR, but failed to pull off the same scheme within an RPG-maker. Nevertheless, it tells a pretty good story and beats its “competitor” in terms of narrative. Yes, there was a non-linear NTR drama there, and here we just have a linear plot corridor of events. Still, I’m ready to recommend “Amelie falls over and over again” to all NTR fans, it deserves it.
